If We’re Cutting Funding for Kids with Brain Cancer, We’re Doing It Wrong
As already noted, but also probably unnoticed or already forgotten amid the daily derecho of awfulness, the Trump administration has apparently cut off funding to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, a group dedicated to developing novel treatments for pediatric brain cancer.
Two members of the consortium are in Ohio: Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. They do amazing work. They help kids with cancer. Why on earth would you eliminate funding for these institutions? Whatever the answer is, it's wrong.
The funding cuts are plenty enraging all by themselves, but then, if you're a member of the reality-based community, you simultaneously see stories like this about the Trump family amassing $6 billion in crypto-fueled wealth:

In summary, Trump is stealing hope from kids with brain cancer and their families while at the same time corruptly stuffing his own pockets with billions. What do you do with these people? I have some thoughts, none of them good.
There is a war being waged on history, science, medicine, education, experience and basic decency. Be one of the good guys. You can support cancer research at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center here, and at Nationwide Children's Hospital here.
